A visit to the Botanical Garden 'Carlos Thays'

A visit to the Botanical Garden 'Carlos Thays'.

Today we visit the Botnnical Garden 'Carlos Thays' in Palermo.

We go there with our teachers Cristina, Graciela and Silvia.

Anita's mother comes with us too.  She is a photographer.  She is going to take wonderful pictures.

We are very happy!

We go there by bus.  It is not far from our school.

Carlos Thays was a French architect and landscape designer.  He designed the garden.

The garden was inaugurated on September 7, 1898.

It was declared a national monument in 1996.

There are a number of sculptures and monuments inside the garden.

There is a map of the place at the entrance.

We must be very careful.  We mustn't walk on the grass.  We mustn't pick flowers, fruit or leaves.

A guide helps us during our visit.

She gives us some forms.  We must watch the parts of the plants and draw them there.

Now we are ready to start working.

After so much work, we take a rest.

And get ready to sow some seeds.
